Digital Banking Guide¶
The Apex Bank digital banking platform gives you full control of your finances from anywhere. Whether you are checking your balance on the train, transferring funds between accounts, or managing your card settings from home, our mobile app and internet banking portal are designed to be secure, intuitive, and fast. This guide walks you through getting started and making the most of the key features.
Downloading the Apex Bank App¶
The Apex Bank mobile app is available for both iOS and Android devices:
- iOS: Download from the App Store — search for "Apex Bank Australia".
- Android: Download from Google Play — search for "Apex Bank Australia".
The app requires iOS 16 or later, or Android 12 or later. Ensure your device operating system is up to date before installing.
Registration and First Login¶
If you are a new digital banking user, follow these steps to register:
- Open the Apex Bank app or visit online.apexfinancial.company in your browser.
- Tap Register for Digital Banking.
- Enter your Apex Bank customer number (found on your welcome letter or any account statement) and your date of birth.
- Verify your identity via a one-time passcode (OTP) sent to the mobile number registered on your account.
- Create a strong password — at least 12 characters with a mix of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols.
- Set up biometric login (optional but recommended).
If you do not have your customer number, call 1300 APEX 00 or visit a branch with valid photo identification to retrieve it.
Biometric Login¶
For faster and more secure access, enable biometric authentication on your mobile device:
- Face ID / Face Unlock: Supported on compatible iPhones and Android devices.
- Fingerprint / Touch ID: Supported on devices with fingerprint sensors.
To enable biometric login, go to Settings > Security > Biometric Login in the app and follow the prompts. You can disable biometric login at any time from the same menu.
Transferring Money¶
Apex Bank digital banking supports several transfer types:
- Between your own accounts: Instant transfers between your Apex Bank savings, everyday, and loan accounts at no cost.
- To other Apex Bank customers: Transfers using BSB and account number, processed in real time during business hours.
- To other Australian banks: Standard transfers via the New Payments Platform (NPP) using PayID or BSB/account number. Most NPP transfers arrive within seconds.
- BPAY: Pay bills directly from your account using the biller code and reference number on your invoice.

To add a new payee, navigate to Payments > Manage Payees > Add New Payee. New payees are subject to a 24-hour cooling-off period for security purposes, during which transfer limits are reduced.
Viewing Statements and Transaction History¶
Your digital banking portal provides access to:
- Transaction history: View up to 7 years of transaction records. Use the search and filter tools to find specific transactions by date, amount, or description.
- eStatements: Access and download PDF statements for all accounts. Go to Accounts > Statements to view or download.
- Export: Export transaction data in CSV or OFX format for use with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks.
Managing Your Cards¶
From the Cards section of the app, you can:
- Lock and unlock your debit or credit card instantly
- Order a replacement card if yours is lost, stolen, or damaged
- Activate a new card by scanning it or entering the card number
- Set daily transaction limits for ATM withdrawals, contactless payments, and online purchases
- Enable or disable international transactions and online card payments
Setting Up Notifications¶
Stay informed about your account activity by configuring push notifications and alerts:
- Transaction alerts: Receive a notification for every card transaction above a threshold you set (e.g., over $50).
- Balance alerts: Get notified when your account balance drops below a specified amount.
- Login alerts: Receive an alert whenever your internet banking is accessed from a new device.
- Payment reminders: Set reminders for upcoming BPAY payments, direct debits, or loan repayments.
To configure notifications, go to Settings > Notifications in the mobile app.
Security Settings¶
Protect your digital banking access with these recommended settings:
